Focused Current Resistance Welding (FCRW) generates good welded surfaces with no spatter

Samples of magnesium alloys from two major automakers in the Detroit area are being received for weld trials

• Good surface conditions of the welded structure that are no more prone to corrosion than the parent metals welded
• Low heat generation on outer surfaces welded to minimize spatter
• Defect-free weld microstructures and high joint efficiency
• Minimize heat effect outside the weld area
